Marcus “Bellringer” Bell is a veteran music business entrepreneur and music producer. He has marketed and promoted, produced and written for, mentored and artist developed some of the world’s biggest superstars. Usher, BritneMarcus Bell Photoy Spears, P Diddy, Snoop Dogg, Timbaland, Sony Music, Warner Brothers, Arista Records, EMI and Universal Music just to name a few. He has created music for worldwide brands such as McDonalds and General Mills. Bell has also had hits in Turkey, Lebanon, India, Japan, Korea, and Europe. He is currently developing projects with NASA, Toyota, and Virgin Galactic to engage youth in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math fields in ways never done before. He has a promise for the world to be happy, healthy, and creatively self-expressed.

“Starting a record company at 12 years old, organizing my own group in high school, and having to hire my teachers to play club dates, events and festivals kept me out of trouble. I was so busy I didn’t have time for anything else between school and my entertainment career.”  Personally committed to social and economic justice, Bellringer has been involved in social issues like promoting gang peace, the preservation of historic African-American institutions, the gender and wealth gap. In elementary school he and his mother were sued by the City of Norfolk to prevent school busing for integration. In high school, he was one of the leaders in demonstrations to prevent the demolition of I.C. Norcom, Portsmouth’s only historically African American high school. After high school, he went on to attend Virginia Commonwealth University where he majored in Business with a minor in music and later transferred to the famed Berklee College of Music in Boston where he graduated with honors and top of his class.

Having started several companies, Bellringer has achieved many successes and has inspired and helped hundreds of artists develop their creativity. He speaks at conferences and leads seminars for various non-profits. Passionate about the inner potential of all people, he has been using his experience to make a difference in peoples’ lives.

Bellringer realized the power of music to impact society and be a vehicle for the empowerment of communities. Some years ago, Bellringer recorded a song to raise funds to support victims of Haiti’s devastating January 2010 earthquake. When President Obama ran for re-election, Bell received a call from leaders working in his campaign to do a song to be used in flash mobs around the country. Thousands of people were exposed to the initiative making it one of the most successful efforts in the campaign.
